Prop rep might be dead, but the electoral reform crowd has turned its sights on B.C.'s largest city government.

New Mayor Kennedy Stewart is talking about moving Vancouver from its current at-large system of electing City Council – in favour of wards, where councillors are elected to represent specific neighbourhoods. Most other large Canadian cities use wards, but Vancouver has rejected the idea several times over the years.

Is anything different today?

George Affleck is the president and CEO of Curve Communications, and a former two-term Vancouver City Councillor. George joined Rick Cluff in studio.
