At what point are there diminishing returns on astronomical estate tax rates?

As the “eat the rich” mantra grows stronger in the US, the likes of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Bernie Sanders, and Elizabeth Warren have proposed a 77% estate tax on the very wealthy. Similar policies have been suggested by the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives. But would such radical tax policy actually help?

Geoff Costeloe is a lawyer and entrepreneur in Vancouver digging into the idea. He joined Rick in studio.
