Off the Cluff: The ICBA wins the Reed Award (w/ Jordan Bateman)

The Georgia Straight called them “the bane of B.C.’s labour movement because of its relentless advocacy for the non-unionized construction sector.” Others are less polite.

The Independent Contractors and Businesses Association (ICBA) is the voice of some 2,100 construction and resource businesses , advocating for a strong provincial economy, fair and open tendering, and more. It has clashed swords with the NDP government on more than one occasion.

The ICBA has been recognized with the Reed Award for North American Trade Association of the Year. Jordan Bateman, ICBA’s Vice President-Communications, joined Rick in studio to talk about this honour.

Rick Cluff is an award-winning journalist who hosted the popular CBC Radio Vancouver morning program “The Early Edition” from 1997 until his retirement in April of 2018.
